2011 Best Feature Film at Chicago Underground Film Festival.2011 Best Feature Film Award at Atlanta Underground Film Festival.2011 Certificate of Outstanding Achievement to Takashi Doscher for editing - Brooklyn Film Festival. The film premiered at the 2011 Slamdance Film Festival, a showcase for the discovery of new and emerging talent in the film industry. Snow on tha Bluff has been shown at film festivals: The film was produced by Chris Knittel.Įxhibition at festivals and awards The film was directed by Darius Cross and stars Curtis Snow (playing himself). It's obvious that his movie idea is for "Snow on tha Bluff." He tells them he has a movie for them and makes a meeting. The movie ends with Curtis calling a number from an ad he found about movie editing. Returning home after losing the police, Curtis is enraged by the turn of events and wrecks a room, then quietly smokes pot and watches his son play in the debris. Curtis and his crew return fire then give chase only to be intercepted by the police, causing everyone to bail on foot. En route to shake down this dealer, the car that they're in is once again ambushed by rival gang members. Soon after, however, Curtis meets a friend to discuss up-to-date information on a mark. In one scene, as he cuts and bags up crack to sell, he explains how he watched his uncle do exactly the same thing when he was a kid, and comments that his son is the same age he was and watching him engage in the same behavior. Her death causes Curtis to sink into depression, as he now has to take care of his young son while continuing to deal drugs. He attempts to get revenge by ambushing "white hat's" girlfriend, but in retaliation, they kill his girlfriend and mother of his child. He collapses in the street nearby, where he is found by a police patrol and subsequently arrested in connection with a prior robbery, and spends four months in jail.Īfter his release from jail, Curtis is enthusiastically welcomed back by his neighborhood, and is clearly anxious to get right back into the drug dealing game. Luckily the bullet wounds are not fatal and the ambusher's gun jams right as he comes close to Curtis, allowing him to flee. On his way back home after cutting the latest stolen product with his crew, Curtis is ambushed in a backyard alleyway by a gunman seconds after looking "white hat" in the eye. The man in the white hat follows Curtis into his territory, asking the locals about him, but the surface threat doesn't faze Curtis and he continues to hustle. While playing at a pool hall, Curtis recognizes a rival drug dealer with his familiar white hat, who likewise takes note of Curtis. When a friend tips him off to another gang selling drugs nearby, he invades their house with the help of his friend and robs them of their supply as well. He recruits his friends and robs the rivals of their drug supply. Recognizing the quality of the camera, he hands it to one of his friends, telling him to continue filming no matter what in order to capture their day-to-day life as it occurs.Ĭurtis soon learns that another group of drug dealers have encroached on his territory, selling drugs not far from his street. Once they arrive, Curtis pulls out a gun, robs them of their purses and camera, and makes a hasty escape. They find a dealer named Curtis Snow, who asks them to drive him to his house in order to fulfill their order. One of the students holds a camera with the hope of filming the encounter. Clearly naive, they joke about flirting in hopes of getting free drugs, and reassure one another that they have nothing to fear. Three college students drive to the Bluff, a westside Atlanta neighborhood, intending to buy some drugs from a dealer. “No More Parties in LA” is another standout track as well, and Kendrick Lamar’s verse is solid stuff. The song’s coda, which takes a dark, haunting turn, is peppered with sinister-sounding vocals. The Weeknd’s chorus, sung over a thicker, synth bassline, is beautiful. “I been feeling all I’ve given, for my children, I will die for those I love, God, I’m willing,” he sings over the song’s chilly and rather empty instrumental, laced with frigid synths and a laid-back beat. “Real Friends” is a laid-back, R&B-inspired track, and shows that Kanye’s lyrics are just plain better when they are vulnerable and introspective. There are moments in the album where Kanye is being uncharacteristically sincere as well, and these are the moments where this album really shines. The instrumental, laced with dissonant and off-putting synthesizers, finds the sweet spot between challenging and melodic. It’s reminiscent of the experimental sounds on Kanye West’s last album, Yeezus. “Feedback” is a good song because of its abrasiveness. It’s a hard-hitting track featuring some catchy Rihanna vocals, a solid backing track, and a well-executed beat change halfway through the song. “Famous,” controversy aside, is a genuinely good song. The album quickly rebounds with “Famous” and “Feedback,” the former of which has the controversial Taylor Swift line that made headlines early in the album’s release. Kanye’s bombastic comments and headshake-worthy one-liners, are enough to ruin some of these songs. It’s a strong start to the album, but it quickly nosedives with “Father Stretch my Hands, Pt 1.” It’s not necessarily that the album’s second song is bad: Kid Cudi’s verse is good, and the beat alternates between R&B-tinged instrumental and heavy rap banger.īut lines like “If I fuck this model, and she just bleached her asshole, and I get bleach on my t-shirt, I’mma feel like a asshole” make it really hard not to groan. The song’s sporadic drum beat caresses the slow-moving, swelling chords of the song, while Kanye, backed up by full gospel choir, sings about trying to keep his faith while “looking for more.” The opener is just gorgeous in a way Kanye’s music hasn’t been in a long time. Kanye West is basically begging people to torrent his music.īut it’s easy to forget all of that when the choir comes in on the album’s opening track, “Ultralight Beams.” That’s not even counting his colossally stupid decision to release the album exclusively on Tidal, his friend Jay-Z’s failing music subscription service. After releasing a 10-song track list, Kanye West updated it with “a couple more tracks,” adding a total of seven new songs. He changed the album’s name three times and the album art several times as well. The album’s release was mired in chaos, too. He is a magnet for public attention, from the misogynistic comments about Taylor Swift on “Famous,” to his Tweet calling Bill Cosby innocent. It seems like an impenetrable fog of controversy just seems to follow Kanye around. These days, it’s not too much of a stretch to say that Kanye West is less of an artist than he is a phenomenon his work and lifestyle are less art and more like public spectacle. 14, is as chaotic and unpredictable as Kanye West himself. Much like the rapper’s personal life seems to the rest of us, The Life of Pablo, released on Feb. If you do not get any video signal after switching the video cable, power cable, and power supply, you most likely have a bad camera. If you are using a test monitor that does not have power output, I suggest that you use a spare CCTV camera power supply to temporarily power the camera. The MON-7HD test monitor in the above image includes a short power jumper cable used to connect your camera’s power input. If you have a test monitor that can supply power to your camera, connect the power output of the monitor to your camera. If you do not get a video signal, disconnect the power cable from your camera.Disconnect the video cable from your camera and use a short RG59 BNC jumper cable to connect the video output of the camera to the BNC input of the test monitor. If your camera is already mounted and connected to a power supply, I recommend that you first only connect the camera’s video to the input of the test monitor. Here are the steps that I recommend if you are going to use a test monitor to troubleshoot. Many CCTV testers, like the one above, have a 12V DC power output that can be used to supply power to your camera. Using a test monitor, you can temporarily eliminate the power and video cable that your camera is using. One of the most common problems when a camera is not displaying video is a bad cable or BNC connection. Using a test monitor is one way to do this.Ī CCTV test monitor is extremely helpful when troubleshooting camera video issues. If you have confirmed that your power supply is working properly and that the ports on your DVR are also working properly, the next step would be to determine if you have a bad power or video cable. If the troubled camera works and the camera that was working does not work, then you have a bad input port on your DVR. Does the working camera show video on the other BNC port? Does the troubled camera display video on the other port? Plug the BNC connector of the camera that is working into the port of the camera that is not working. Simply disconnect the BNC video connector of the troubled surveillance camera from the back of your digital video recorder and plug it into one of the ports where a working camera is plugged in. It is a simple thing to test, so you may as well give it a try before you spend time on the other troubleshooting steps. This is uncommon, but it is possible that one of the BNC video input ports on your DVR went bad.
Take that, Dave Perry.įollowing Nintendo’s failed SNES-CD venture with Sony and then Phillips, and subsequent continuation with cartridge games with the N64, all these properties moved onto the Sony PlayStation. It was later claiming it would be a ‘clearer’ image. Over on Twitter, someone declared their love for Aladdin on the Mega Drive to the handle, only for Game to re-tweet and add an image….of the SNES version. He further complimented the game by saying he would have probably bought the Mega Drive version – if he hadn’t have made the SNES version of course. As recently as February 2014, Polygon posted an interview with Shinji Mikami, who stated he preferred the animation of the Mega Drive version. You have my view, but the debate still rages on between the two. Unfortunately for Dave, I wasn’t a fan of Earthworm Jim mechanically either, despite both games’ success. You can definitely see the resemblances between the two. Who knew Robin Williams’ Genie was so malicious? Oh wait, he wasn’t, so why is he TRYING TO KILL ME?Īnother soon-to-be-famous designer was responsible for this version: Dave Perry, of Earthworm Jim fame. Catching, holding and jumping between several balloons with instant death should you miss just feels so unnecessary. The ‘Rug Ride’ level was nearly as frustrating and life-sapping as the infamous Battletoads bike level.Ĭomparing the Genie levels of both editions, this one is just a mess in level design, and at times too difficult to be tolerable. The learning curve steeply rises about halfway through. For those enemies further away, collected apples become an essential secondary attack, which adds an extra dimension to the very few boss fights.Īfter the first couple of levels the fun factor soon transitions into massive frustration and annoyance. So naturally, the character sprites looked ripped right out of the movie, and are superbly animated.īut not just the visuals were different Aladdin was given a sword, and jumping on enemies just caused you harm – cue a more recent Prince of Persia homage with its basic swordplay. Sega’s licensing gave them something Capcom didn’t – Disney animators. The Sega version of Aladdin was published and developed by Sega and Virgin Games respectively. It’s a game to perfect as well as conquer, with the charm and essence of the movie all wrapped up in a nice few hours of entertainment. The traversing of obstacles flow effortlessly when negotiated with the desired precision. It is indeed the level design that is Aladdin’s greatest attribute. Such disposals are integrated into the paths you take, creating an often seamless journey through the streets of Agrobah and beyond.Ĭapcom’s Aladdin was the first hit game of designer Shinji Mikami, of future Resident Evil/Vanquish/Evil Within fame. Capcom implemented the Super Mario method of bad guy disposal: jumping on them. As Aladdin you vault from posts in the ground and swing from those stuck out of walls, Prince of Persia-style. It does however boast some of the crispest visuals to ever appear on the platform, accompanied with a great, faithful soundtrack.Īlthough not the longest of games, every level plays out at pretty breakneck pace. It is a simple, enjoyable although not-so-challenging 2D side-scrolling platformer. The former by Capcom, due to its Disney licensing rights with Nintendo at the time. Aladdin (SNES)įirst of all, both versions of Aladdin for the SNES and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis were published and developed independently. Having since experienced both from start to finish, is there an actual definitive answer? Let’s see which one truly is the diamond in the rough. He fell over on me and kissed me gently, thanking me. HOLY FUCK at that distance!!! I started laughing and reached for a towel to wipe my face off. He moaned, his face contorted with pleasure and determination to cum, and he shot all over my face and hair and the bed beside me. He grabbed my waist and rode me hard while I said naughty things to him about how hot he looked and how good that must feel to have a cock inside his ass. He rubbed his cock on my pink lace nightie and I said “Here, let me.” I rubbed a little oil on my hands and started stroking him while he kept rocking on my girlcock. I knew he was getting close when he sat up and started rocking back and forth. I pushed up harder with my hips and heard his breathing get heavier. He leaned down and grabbed my boobs and put his weight on me as he fucked himself on my girlcock from a different angle. The harness tugged between my ass cheeks and against my pussy a bit, and drew my attention to how wet I was getting. I met him up for every time he came down. He looked down at me and said, “Move your hips up.” I had been afraid to strain my knee, but realized that I could push up with my hips and it was fine. I chuckled to myself when I thought, yeah, probably so, except my boobs would be bouncing and swaying along with everything else. I wondered for just a moment if that’s how he looked at me when I was on top of him riding his cock. He rocked back and forth, and then alternated with up and down, fucking himself on my dildo. I had never seen my husband MOVE like that. I watched him as first just his hips, and then thighs, and then his torso got in on the action. I touched his muscular thighs with both hands and grabbed him as he opened his eyes and looked at me with lust and adoration. I think it’s that same look I get when I feel the exquisite pleasure of his cock sliding into me for the first time. It took him a minute to work the tip of it into his asshole, but I could tell when he did because he got this amazing look on his face and he took a deep breath, and then moaned as he slowly pushed it in. He lubed up the thick dildo and his sexy ass with coconut oil and slowly lowered himself down on it. I realized with a sharp pain and cry that my knee was still hurting from the day before and said, “OH NO, what are we going to do now?!” He looked at me with that sexy, cheeky grin that I love and said, “Let’s improvise…lay down on your back and let me ride you.” He kissed my feet, my calves, my thighs, and gently helped me into the harness and adjusted it for me while I was on my knees. He got out my favorite harness and his favorite dildo and put things together. We woke up slowly, immediately touching, hugging, kissing, excited that we had some alone time to really enjoy some kinky sex. So, fast forward to this morning, we are alone, and it’s a gorgeous, bright Sunday morning. We both had that moment on our minds all day, and would make little jokes about it and post just that perfect pegging picture on Tumblr. We were interrupted by kids waking up and then got busy with our day. I had woken him up yesterday by kissing his neck and shoulder, rubbing his body, and whispering in his ear, “I’m going to have your ass today.” He moaned and leaned in to kiss me. It’s quiet, naked, carefree, and one of the few moments I wish I still had my husband all to myself. There is something about having the house to yourselves when your kids sleep over somewhere else that is just wonderful. Most animals, even the tough ones like bears, will usually die when set on fire, so a molotov or flare gun might also be nice to have in your back pocket. Herbivores will often run when spooked, so bring an assault rifle or other high-powered, rapid-fire weapon to take them down from a distance. Predators will usually attack you when they spot you, and since none of them have any ranged attacks, using a shotgun on them as they approach is usually the best bet to take them out. Animals come as either predators or herbivores. This is a good idea regardless of hitting the unique enemies, as all of these quests will point you towards normal animals with skins you probably will need. These are all found as the result of Path of the Hunter quests, so do as many of those as you find as you travel the island. Crafting the last upgrade in each category requires you to find a rare, unique animal. You'll be near an ammo store, so you can restock if need be, and there are plenty of sharks just off the coast. The best spot to do this is north of the Welshore Wrecker's House outpost, on the northwestern corner of the first island. It's easiest to take them down after you unlock the RPG hitting a shark with a rocket-propelled grenade will kill it in one shot, allowing you to swim out, skin it, and return to shore to nab the next one. Sharks can be one of the toughest enemies to hunt, as they're underwater and said water will make them somewhat resistant to bullets. You should concentrate on bigger rucksacks, weapon holsters, and wallets first, but if you skin everything you see, you should be able to make all of the bags before you dive into the story missions, should you wish to do so. From there, you just need to concentrate on locating the animals that you need to hunt and track them down. (You'll be doing this regardless, so you might as well get it out of the way as a benefit you'll unlock a lot of free weapons in stores.) After doing that, attack as many outposts as you can to both eliminate enemy patrols and unlock new Path of the Hunter missions. If you want to get a jump start on crafting at the beginning of the game, it's worth taking your time to travel the map and climb to the top of all the radio towers that you can access. Luckily, almost every animal you need to hunt will be marked on your map, assuming you've revealed it. Of course, finding that prey might be a different matter. If you're quiet while you move, you shouldn't have too many problems bagging your prey. Luckily, the process isn't all that difficult, as the early tutorials will explain most of the basics: go to an area that has the kind of animals that you need to hunt, hop out of your car, wander around for a bit, find your targets, and shoot them. In order to load up with more goodies, you'll need to hunt animals and use their skins to make more bags for yourself. When the game starts, you're going to be grossly limited in the number of items that you can carry. Ready to get up close and personal with Rook Island's meanest denizens? Curious about the easiest way to silently take out an enemy outpost? Want to figure out how to unlock most of the game's weapons before you even begin the story? Ever wanted to kill a shark, but weren’t sure how? We've got you covered. Luckily, GameSpot's Game Guide will help guide you through all the ups and downs of the game's main storyline, and will offer plenty of tips for the side missions, as well. Well, Far Cry 3 certainly isn't going to break with that tradition, as you'll find yourself squarely in over your head as soon as the game begins. Be honest: have you ever seen any media that begins with a bunch of crazy twentysomethings having a crazy twentysomething lifestyle, doing shots of motor oil and jumping out of planes, screaming about Mountain Dew while punching a dolphin square in the solar plexus, etc., that doesn't end with some kind of horrible misadventure? People shooting at them, cannibals, alien marauders, a Dane Cook performance? |
